Flying Taxi in India: When will Indians see flying taxi in the sky?

The country is almost ready to adopt the flying taxi. Actually, in June, Chennai-based startup Eplane plans to introduce its first flying taxi prototype. Satyanarayana Chakraborty, the CEO of the company, provided this information.

Flying taxi: what is it?

In actuality, a flying taxi is a type of taxi service that allows passengers to travel between locations via air. Air taxis may take off and land vertically (VTOL) and are often propelled by electric or hybrid engines. One clever strategy to lessen traffic in cities is to use this taxi service.

Jio Electric Cycle is dominating the market, all thanks to its low cost and 25 km/h top speed, making it everyone’s favorite.

“We hope to have our prototype (of the flying taxi) by June,” M”We are comparing ourselves with China,” stated Satyanarayana Chakraborty, an aerospace engineering professor at IIT Madras. Over the past 20 years, China has advanced extremely quickly and has even overtaken the West.

“It will be very beneficial for India if we think and do something like deeptech,” he continued. By the end of this decade, Satyanarayana Chakraborty, a co-founder of six deeptech businesses, believes India will establish itself in this ecosystem.
